Borghese Gallery and Gardens
It's considered one of the world's most famous art galleries, and for good reason. You'll find masterpieces by Caravaggio, Raphael, Titian, Bernini, and Canova, among others. The gardens were designed in the 17th century, where you can wander through landscaped gardens, visit neoclassical temples, and spot hidden fountains and sculptures.
pantheon
Originally built as a temple in 27 BC by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus, the Pantheon was dedicated to all the Roman gods. An inscription on the facade translates to "Marcus Agrippa, son of Lucius, consul for the third time, made this." The exact construction techniques used for the dome remain somewhat of a mystery, even for modern engineers and architects.

Pyramid of
Caius Cestius
Built around 12 BC, the pyramid served as a tomb for Gaius Cestius Epulo, a prominent Roman magistrate and member of a religious college. Located near the Porta San Paolo gate and the Protestant Cemetery, the pyramid stands at a fork in two ancient roads. Today, it's a distinctive landmark amidst the bustling Testaccio neighborhood.
Capuchin Crypt
The crypt's most striking characteristic is the extensive use of human bones in its decoration. The remains of around 4,000 Capuchin friars, who died between the 16th and 19th centuries, are arranged throughout the crypt. The crypt is divided into five small chapels, each with a unique theme using bones for decoration. These chapels include the Crypt of the Skulls, the Crypt of the Pelvises, and the Crypt of the Leg Bones.
