Don't rely on just taxi's. Malta's public bus system is a cheap and easy way to get around. Purchase a travel card for discounted fares on multiple journeys.
CURRENCY:
(EURO) Credit Cards are commonly used in Malta & most businesses in popular tourist spots accept them. Having a small amount of cash Euros is advised for taxis, or smaller vendors that prefer cash. Just hit up a bank ATM.

The cost is Moderate. During peak season, you can expect to spend $35- $300/night on accommodations, depending on travel style. November-March is the off season & the cheapest time to visit.

Solo Safety Rating: SAFE. Malta has a visible police presence & tourists can feel safe exploring the islands. The most common is pickpocketing in crowded areas or scams such as overcharging in restaurants.
language:
English is widely spoken and considered the second official language after Maltese. A little Maltese is appreciated like "Hello" ("Bongu") & "Thank You" ("Grazzi"),

Malta may seem small, but traffic congestion, narrow roads, and winding routes can make travel times longer than expected. If you are renting a car & not comfortable with aggressive drivers and narrow roads, take the bus.
